About Jeremy Shantz
I didn’t start in marketing. I spent over a decade managing service operations in the door, dock, and gate industry, running logistics, leading technicians, writing technical manuals, and solving the kind of problems that don’t have easy answers. Before that, I ran my own assembly contracting business, managing national retail contracts with the likes of Walmart and Canadian Tire.
I know what it’s like to run a business where the work is real, the margins matter, and there’s no time to waste on marketing that doesn’t produce anything.
The pivot to digital marketing wasn’t random. I’d always been the person who wanted to understand why systems work — whether that was an electrical control circuit or a sales funnel. Around 2020, I started applying that same logic to SEO and content strategy, and eventually built Farm 6 Media to do it full time.
Today I hold dual designations as a Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) through the American Marketing Association and a Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) through the Digital Marketing Institute — two of the most rigorous credentials in the field. I’m also Google Ads Search Certified and LinkedIn Ads Certified.
About Farm 6 Media
I started Farm 6 Media in 2014 in Mississauga, Ontario due to demand from friends who were asking me to help them with building websites and their digital presence. That’s how it all began. I started writing copy and content around the same time and had a portfolio of niche websites that I ran on weekends for fun. I’ve always loved building websites, but in 2022 I took on digital marketing in a full-time capacity.
In 2025, I took my tech knowledge and applied them to help my clients with better managed hosting; I started Farm 6 Hosting. This managed hosting is the only one of it’s kind with fully managed, and marketing strategy supported, hosting for clients that want more.
I’ve been working on marketing for tech, app development, and B2B service industries ever since 2014 when I started my first websites. Because I’m a firm believer in life-long learning, I’ve also been studying, constantly. In digital marketing the landscape is always evolving, so a good marketer’s credentials and experience should too.
What I bring to small and mid-sized businesses is something most marketing consultants can’t: I’ve actually operated in the industries I serve. I understand technical businesses from the inside. I’m not going to show up with a generic strategy deck I’m going to dig into your numbers, figure out where your pipeline is leaking, and help you fix it.
